Darald J. Schaffer
Darald Schaffer is a partner of the firm. Although he handles a variety of cases, he focuses his practice primarily on business law, real estate law and probate law. Darald represents several businesses as general counsel and, in that role, assists them with business transactions and business litigation matters. Darald successfully guides business clients through asset sales, mergers, and acquisitions and has represented clients in IRS and State of Tennessee Department of Revenue tax matters. He also represents clients in both Federal and State court cases. Darald’s work as a business lawyer has given him the opportunity to serve non-profit churches, ministries and other not-for-profit organizations in organizational, transactional and litigation matters. He has also helped individuals start up non-profits.
A substantial portion of Darald’s practice involves assisting clients with both commercial and residential real estate matters spanning both transactional-based services as well as advocating for clients in real estate litigation matters. This has given Darald the opportunity to assist clients with drafting transactional documents, facilitating closings of commercial and residential real estate properties, as well as guiding clients through zoning and building permit matters.
Darald’s extensive experience in probate and estate administration law has provided him the opportunity to teach continuing education seminars to other attorneys who wish to learn about probate and estate administration law. He has also authored educational materials on probate and estate administration law.
